When your control system detects that the pump is pumping air ( the tank has run out ), it will send a "low water" alarm. The control system senses pump back-pressure, but since each irrigation installation is different, it needs some calibration. The control unit will auto-calibrate itself, over time, if allowed to run dry ... or you can follow the re-calibration steps below.

1. Log on to your device control panel / dashboard
2. Click the "Reset backpressure" button on the settings page
3. Run the pump with no water for ten seconds or more ( connected to your irrigation )
4. Run the pump with water, again connected to your irrigation, for ten seconds or more.

Your control box is now calibrated.
Note that this is the process for firmware versions 2023011900 and above. Prior to this, there was no calibration process.

I have tried to log in to recalibrate as suggested but I keep getting the message "site cannot be reached " "192.168.1.226 is unreachable". On the positive side the pump still seems to be operating ok after quite a few cycles.

Hi Ian

Good to hear your pump is working. When you log in to the control unit wifi ( harvst-xxxx ) you will need to go to the IP address 192.168.4.1

The IP address reached from the black button on the web app will also work but only if your phone is on the same network as the control box and the control box is online.
