Pump Fault Resolved

Hi there,
Ive had some issues with the pump and control panel. The pump had previously blown the fuse on the control panel. Ive returned both to be repaired/replaced and have just received a new pump. Having tried it again I'm now getting a pump fault warning. The system starts up and starts pumping for 5 seconds then stops and displays the error. I see the latest firmware has a deliberate update which adds this function when there is too much power being drawn but I have no idea why this might be.

I've even tried removing it from the rest of the irrigation system as i thought it might be a priming issue but that doesnt seem to help.

Really hope you can help as its now been weeks of back and forth trying to get this to work

Yes, we are exploring whether the control unit can detect a faulty pump before the fuse blows, but it looks like the mini pumps might not be consistent enough in their power drain to make this reliable. Here's how it works:

When the pump is drawing more than twice it's normal maximum current, it's turned off for that pumping cycle and "pump fault" is set. This was your shorter 5 seconds of pumping. Next time pumping is due, it will try again; the "pump fault" is just a notification.

Once of our failed pumps here, which blew a fuse ( might even be yours ), is now starting to run more reliably again after repeated use, which is why the pump fault setting allows pumping to be attempted again.

The pump fault was being triggered too early for many users, and with firmware 2023060106 we have disabled it while we gather more data.

Can you confirm everything is running OK for the full pumping time with yours now?

Hi chris. Ive just tried again now and it’s working again now which is great news. I’ve run a few manual pumps so fingers crossed it will now settle into repeat auto use as you suggest. Thanks again.
