Periodically, we release new versions of the firmware which runs on the control unit. If your control unit is connected to the internet ( online mode ) then you don't need to do anything - it will update itself ( watch for release notes here: link )
If your control unit if in OFFline mode, you'll need to connect it to your internet periodically to keep the firmware up to date. The best thing is to leave it online for a couple of hours, then check back later.
You can see your current firmware version by accessing the device control panel directly ( via the blue IP address in the settings tab of your app ), then going to Settings.
Hi Chris, version 801 here and need 900 to fix an issue with the water pump. System is online and has been for ages so would expect to be on version 900. Any ideas why this isn’t the case?
Is there any way to prompt/force a firmware update? I've got a solar-powered unit here that I'd like to get the latest firmware for. I've got it in my house, connected to my home network, and presumably at some point it'll poll for newer firmware versions and start an update.
It'd be good to trigger it manually, both now, and in the future as the usage site is a 25 minute drive away. Disconnecting the unit, driving it home, connecting to wifi, waiting an unclear amount of time, and then driving it back and reconnecting could be a bit of a faff : ) An offline firmware update would be cool, downloading it to my phone, then uploading it to the control unit when connected to its wifi network.
Ah, I hadn't actually associated it with my account. I've just done that now, so it should be on record - probably best if I don't share the ID publicly?
Got it. Hit "water now" for 10 seconds [to get it to send a message to the web], or settings > update web settings from server and it will download the latest. Chris

And yes - an offline firmware update is a great suggestion. We'll look into it.
