Hi all,

Have just installed my Harvest Watermate mini today, and have got most of the way through setting it up, and wanted to check if the pump was working and I could get water coming through the pipes. I logged on and went to the link that says 'Connect to control panel to water now' which takes me to an IP address. Unfortunately bit then doesn't connect to that IP.

Am I being stupid?

Thanks

Hi Ben, if it's a solar box, make sure it's awake ( light flashing on top ) and that your phone is also connected to the same WiFi network as the control box.

The control unit will need to have connected to the Harvst servers at least once ( online mode ) to register it's IP address. Then the link to the control panel should work.

Alternatively, connect to the units own wi-fi network ( harvst-xxxx ) and then in a web browser visit http://192.168.4.1 ... Which is also the way to do it if your box is in off line mode with no WiFi access at all.

Hi,

I have successfully connected it to the WiFi and am on the same network. Not sure what you mean by Solar box. There is a solar panel, but there are no lights to light up.

I can log in and see the details, such as the temperature and the details behind each zone. Its just where it says "Open device control panel" and it connects me via an IP address, it just can't connect. I connected to the unit directly to set up the WiFi, but it's just this button that doesn't work.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Ben- we do solar powered control systems and mains powered control systems. If it's solar powered, it will go to sleep to save power and only wake up every half hour to take and send readings. The button top left of the control unit will wake it up, which will make the light in that button flash once a second. It will stay awake for ten minutes for you to work with the control panel ( via the black button ). Interaction with the control panel will keep it awake for as long as you are using the control panel.

Hi Chris,

Yep, that's fixed it.

Perfect, Thanks!

Brilliant, great to hear! We'd love to see some pics of your installation; have you time to upload any here?
