Wireless sensor loses connection to controller daily.

Hi there, New user, so probably making basic errors but...

I set up my system to run using my home WiFi - and generally it sends consistent data, however, I paired a wireless sensor to the main controller and got good readings for a couple of days, then it started to misbehave. It reports still being paired, and if I manually pair it again readings are sent for a while, but at some point, usually withing 12 hours of me re-pairing it, the readings stop again. The main controller is still sending data, the control panel says she sensor is paired and the sensors battery seems fine, so I am at a loss to know what is going wrong. Any thoughts welcome...

Hi Mike
It looks like there's a more recent firmware version for your sensor ( 2024072400 ), so I have set it to update ... it will manage to do this via your control unit, as long as the sensor is also within range of your home router. Could you wake the main control unit, then just press the button on the sensor to nudge the connection? When the sensor is updating FW the LED will flicker.
You could turn on "wireless sensor debug" first on the control unit to get a beep when the sensor connects to it, for some feedback.

Hi Chris,

Sorry for the slow reply, I have been away for a few days. It does look as if your update has done the trick as the sensor has been sending data for several days now. So thank you. hopefully that's a problem solved.

Hey Chris,
I'm also having this same issue. A bit less frequently then every 12 hours, but every 36 hours or so. Sensor still showing up on the app as paired. If I try to press the button on the sensor with the wireless test on I get a triple beep. If I re-pair the unit it'll work again. Sensor firmware : 2024120300

Hi Llf
I've set your sensor to update to 2024072400 and control unit to 2025040900.
It'll take some time to update, if the sensor is not within range of the home wifi also, then sensor update may not complete. Let's keep an eye on things.

Hey Chris,
After your last update, the sensor kept dropping off at the same frequency while being paired. So I switched it to being directly connected to the WiFi instead ( also hoping that it would cause it to pick up the FW update quicker ). As far as I can tell it's still on the old FW and hasnt updated at all. I tried re-pairing it 2 days ago to test if the new control unit FW would do the trick, but no, disconnects again when in paired mode.

Since I'm sending you the valves and the control unit in the mail shortly for you to check that other issue of the inverted wiring of the valves, should I send you the wireless sensor as well for you to check?
